Seven Things To Do While You Quarantine and Chill pt2

Look at you, back again! You are just in time for the part two of Quarantine and Chill. In the previous post I listed seven things that you could do to pass time during the mandatory quarantine/ stay home order. In this post I will be giving you another seven things that you can do if you are looking for something to do while stuck in the house. 

Let’s take a look at the list:

Skin Care Routine

Who doesn’t want flawless skin? Sometimes we have to work a little harder when genetics aren’t on our side. First I recommend you do quite a bit of research and not just on products you should or should not buy. Look into what is good for your skin. This means you need to find out your skin type and then what natural ingredients and chemicals are beneficial to your skin. After that look for products to purchase and then get your routine in motion. Consistency is key with skincare too.

Spring Clean

Even though we are all on house arrest, it would still be wise to get rid of the things you no longer need. With all the added stress caused by this pandemic you would be surprised how de-cluttering your home and life can make you feel a little better. Go through that pile of papers you have stacked on the kitchen table; trash what you don’t need and file away what you do. Put your winter clothes in storage and bring out your spring/summer wardrobe. Clean out the contacts in your phone. Go through your email accounts and unsubscribe from unwanted email lists. While you’re at it, empty your junk/spam mailboxes. Unfollow accounts on social media and even end some relationships. If it doesn’t serve you, let it go.

Financial Planning

Coronavirus caught me by surprise. Honestly, I was neither prepared mentally nor financially to be out of work and stuck at home for this long without any income. I have always mentioned wanting financial freedom and an emergency cash fund but have yet to reach either of those goals. However, this is the perfect time to put a plan in place so that I can have these achievements. Do not blow your stimulus check and/or unemployment benefits on things that won’t serve you. If you can, invest some of that money into setting yourself up for financial freedom. It will be worth it.

Catch up on YouTube Subscriptions

If you are anything like me, you have subscribed to numerous YouTube channels but never watch the videos the first day they drop. This means you tend to get backed up on videos and sometimes never get around to watching them. Take a couple hours a day and go through your subscriptions. Unsubscribe to channels that no longer interest you and catch up on the videos of channels you still enjoy. 

Arts and Crafts

There is finally time to do some of those DIYs that you have saved in your Pinterest boards. You can even do some fun crafts with your kids if you have any. 

Have Those Conversations

Do the work necessary to have those conversations. “Those conversations” refers to any talk you’ve been wanting to have with someone but haven’t had it because it just seemed too hard or made you uncomfortable. Now is the time. That way when outside opens back up, you can go through life feeling a little lighter.

Reconnect

All we have is social media and technology to keep us in contact with family, friends, associates, etc. Why not reconnect with old friends from our younger years. Or even reconnect with family members or friends you haven’t had much time for these past years. You can even use this time to reconnect with yourself.
